Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Lets Us Talk (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Lets Us Talk mobile application.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive authentication identifiers and related profile details provided by that sign-in provider (such as email or display name, depending on your settings). Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication.
- Wallet and purchases. We store wallet balance, top-up transactions, and usage related to billing so we can provide paid translation features. In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play; we receive purchase confirmation data needed to credit your wallet.
- Microphone audio. When you use translation features, the app captures microphone audio to perform realtime speech recognition and translation. Audio is processed to deliver the service you requested.
- Session and usage data. We may store translation session records, usage metrics (for example characters or tokens billed), language preferences, and app settings associated with your account.
- Device and security signals. We use Firebase App Check and similar integrity checks to help protect the service from abuse.
How we use information
- Provide realtime speech translation and related features
- Authenticate you and maintain your account and wallet
- Bill usage against your wallet balance
- Improve reliability, security, and customer support
- Comply with legal obligations
Third-party processing
To operate the app we use service providers that process data on our behalf or as independent controllers of their platforms, including:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, App Check, and related infrastructure)
- Speech and translation providers used by the product’s modes, such as OpenAI, Soniox, AssemblyAI, and Google translation APIs — audio and/or text may be sent to these services when you use the corresponding features
- Apple and Google for sign-in and in-app purchases
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and terms. We configure services to support the app’s functionality and security.
Data retention
We retain account, wallet, and usage data while your account is active and as needed for billing, security, and legal purposes. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify associated account and wallet data subject to residual backups and legal retention requirements.
Your choices
- You can stop using microphone features by denying or revoking microphone permission in system settings.
- You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account.
- You can contact us to ask questions about your data (see Contact below).
Children
Lets Us Talk is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International processing
Your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those locations may have different data protection laws than your home country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
